The visitor center of the Taijiang National Park Administration was completed in 2019 and has become a must-see scenic spot for visitors to Taijiang. The center plays an important role in environmental education and recreation in the Sicao area.

Previously, the Sicao area could only be accessed by Sicao Avenue, an important road for land transportation, and it lacked a bicycle pathway for people to experience the human-influenced landscape and waterfront scenery of the Taijiang River by bike or on foot. Therefore, starting in 2020, the park’s management office has built the "Taijiang Waterfront Green Bikeway" connecting the park’s visitor center with the recreational and sightseeing spots in the Sicao area around the Dazhong Temple.

The total length of the Taijiang Waterfront Green Bikeway is about 2.2 kilometers. From the visitor center, the bikeway runs north along dykes, stretches of gravel, iconic steel bridges, wooden plank paths above the water, and glass viewing platforms with resting seats set up along the bikeway winding through the Sicao area around Dazhong Temple. This recreational route offers an interesting experience and changing perspectives on the coastal ecology and human activity in the unique Taijiang Wetlands.

During the planning phase of this green waterfront bikeway, various suggestions from residents were put forward, which have been incorporated into the design. In addition, for greater convenience and a better experience for all visitors, the park’s Administration office actively promotes exploring the national park by bicycle, which will open for use by 2023. With the opening of the latest bicycle path, the entire park is now accessible by bicycle.
