Lurmen Harbor and Zhufagang River historic site
Introduction
In the Qing Dynasty Luermen was the only official port for trade between China and Taiwan. The remains of a sea fort built by the Dutch can be seen, facing Anping Fort in the distance, the two allowing control to be exercised over the Taijiang area. It was destroyed by a flood in 1656 but will forever have a firm place in local history.
