Liukong Visitor Center is situated in Qigu District, and is so named for its 6 drainage canals. When coming to Qigu, be sure to list Liukong Visitor Center as your first stop.

Nanwan Wharf is located at the westernmost side of Qigu Lagoon. Hop on a raft here for a tour of Qigu Lagoon.

Qigu Lagoon was formed as a result of sediment deposits that settled at the bottom of the inland sea of old Taijiang. Local fishermen made use of this natural resource to farm fish and oysters, giving rise to a unique aquaculture industry.

Situated in the Qigu Lagoon where Sangu River and Qigu River meet. The confluence of land and water brings nutrient-rich sediment deposits to the mangrove forest, which teams with intertidal organisms. This mangrove forest is mostly populated by Avicennia marina, and some Kandelia obovate.

Standing tall near the shoreline, the Qigu Sea View Tower is painted with the colors of sunset. There is a wood walkway and pavilion near the shore to provide visitors with various vantage points from which to watch stunning sunsets.
