Welcome to the 2018 Conservation Research Findings Presentation

Since the Taijiang National Park Headquarters was founded, it has been studying the conservation issues of the black-faced spoonbill. Meanwhile, it has also been researching the marine life resources, the old name of Taijiang and habitat creation. The 2018 Conservation Research Findings Presentation will be held on May 17 (Fri.), 2019 at the First Screening Room in the Visitor Center to share the research findings with everyone.
 
The issues of this presentation cover the biological resource survey for the marine ecosystem of the Taijiang National Park and the relevant diversity conservation research. They comprise basic surveys and tests on the hydrology of Cheng Hsi Wetlands in the Taijiang National Park. The research includes the basic survey on important wetlands (international and national-level wetlands) at Zengwen estuary, Sicao, Qigu Salt Pan and Yanshui Estuary; It also includes the creation and evaluation of diversity for the habitat in the buffer zone in the Taijiang National Park and its surrounding areas. These issues comprise the basic survey on the ecological resource of amphibious reptiles in the Taijiang National Park. They also comprise the survey on ancient Taijiang ruins and the evaluation and prospect on the survey outcome of literature and history. The research contains the origin of the old and new names of the regions to the north of the Zengwen River in Taijiang District and the ancient study map for these regions. The research also contains the plan of the survey on the population of the black-faced spoonbills in the Taijiang National Park and its surrounding areas in 2017. Scholars and experts in relevant fields from the National Sun Yat-sen University, the National Cheng Kung University, the National Kaohsiung Normal University, the National University of Tainan and the Wild Bird Society of Tainan will be invited to deliver keynote speeches. It is a once in a lifetime chance. Everyone is welcome to sign up for the presentation. Participants can visit the exhibition and watch videos in the Visitor Center after the presentation.
