"Story telling of Taijiang Papercutting - Taijiang Humanities and Cultures and Paper Sculpture Art Special Exhibition" Explore hometown stories with papercutting art

While Taijiang National Park Administration (hereinafter referred to as Taijiang Office) is committed to nature conservation, in the past, it also used a variety of ways to let the public understand the Taijiang from different perspectives. The Taijiang Office specially invited teacher Li Huiling, an artist who has been working in the local area for a long time, to jointly hold the event "Story telling of Taijiang Papercutting - Taijiang Humanities and Cultures and Paper Sculpture Art Special Exhibition". This is an extension of the opening exhibition of Taijiang Cultural Center. Ms. Li Huiling leads the students of the " Taijiang Public Building Learning Group of Tainan Community College" to explore the Taijiang impression symbols in life with "Looking for Taijiang Cultural Image" as the main purpose, so the public can feel different Taijiang cultural customs through their works.

The special exhibition is divided into 5 areas, including "Large Window Decorations Hanging Area", "Taijiang People, View and Art" and "Small Window Decorations Display Area". The emotional stories of the large window decorations are about the ancestors of the Taijiang who developed a living style of carrying houses and relocating due to the floods of the Tsengwen River, or diverse fishery culture in the coastal environment, or the rich mangrove wetland ecology of the estuary, or the silhouettes of residents' daily life and artistic and cultural activities with the colorful and lively small window decoration papercutting, which also ushered in a festive New Year air in the exhibition hall in advance. In addition, two interactive experience zones of "Projection Interaction" and "Taijiang Image DIY" are specially planned, so the visitors can learn about the symbols of Taijiang in the process of viewing art works and experiencing the change of light and shadow.

"Story telling of Taijiang Papercutting - Taijiang Humanities and Cultures and Paper Sculpture Art Special Exhibition" will be exhibited from December 25, 2020 to March 7, 2021 in the special exhibition gallery on the 2nd floor of the Visitor Center of Taijiang Office.
