"Three Lives of Qigu Lagoon" - Exploring the Lifestyles, Livelihoods, and Ecology of Qigu Lagoon

Qigu Lagoon, affectionately known as "Neihaizi" by locals, not only fosters a rich ecosystem but is also crucial for the livelihoods of the community. The Taijiang National Park Headquarters of the National Park Service, Ministry of the Interior is offering its popular environmental education program, "Three Lives of Qigu Lagoon," to the public during the holiday season. This fall, embark on a unique journey of knowledge as local captains guide you through the lives of the people of Qigu by boat.

The event is scheduled for the afternoon of September 28, 2024 (Saturday). Participants will embark on a raft journey through the lagoon, admire oyster farms, land on sand bars, and observe local wildlife. They will hear firsthand from local captains about life, production, and ecology in Neihaizi, and an environmental education instructor will guide them through Wangzailiao Sand Bar to learn about its unique ecology and the challenges it faces. This experience aims to foster environmental action and appreciation for crucial natural habitats.

The activity cost per participant is NT$450, which includes bus transportation, boat fare, and insurance. The event is limited to 38 participants, and registration is open to the general public, families, and corporate ESG promoters. Online registration begins at 10 AM on September 4, 2024 (Wednesday).
