Taijiang National Park is the only wetland national park in Taiwan. Every year, black-faced spoonbills and other migratory birds ride the northeast monsoon winds to winter in Taijiang, where they can forage and play in peace. We invite you to tour around the Taijiang wetlands by boat and explore the secrets of wetland ecology with us!

In this event, visitors learn about the Yanshui River Estuary Wetlands and the migratory birds here, the importance of wetland conservation, and understand the relationship between humans and migratory birds, through guided tours, games, and onsite observation. We lead participants through the environmental education display event at Taijiang Wetland School to learn concepts of how we should treat the environment.

The event was held on the morning of January 25, 2022. Each participant pays NT$400 (boat fare, insurance premium, and meal fee included). Up to 40 participants may join this event. Parents and children are welcome to go out together and learn about the wetland ecology of Taijiang. Sign up starts on January 12, 2022 at 10 AM. Visitors can go to the website of Taijiang National Park for more information, or contact the Interpretation and Education Section of Taijiang National Park Headquarters for any questions (06-2842600 ext. 1515).
